Bernie Keating - Barrie Lawyer

Bernie Keating - Personal Injury Lawyer - L.L.B, M.A, M.A

Bernie is an accomplished scholar. He earned a B.A from St. Francis Xavier University, an M.A in philosophy from Loyola University and an M.A in Economics from the world-renowned University of Notre Dame.

His exceptional oratory skills and his commitment to social justice led him to a catholic monastery where he spent six years preparing for priesthood. Months before his ordination, he represented a fellow Jesuit during a conflict. The experience revealed his true vocation and he left the Jesuits to obtain his L.L.B from Queen’s University.

Bernie was called to the bar in 1995. He quickly established a reputation as an outstanding personal injury lawyer in large part because of his expertise in going to trial. He has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Ontario Municipal Board, and the Ontario Parole Board. He is an active member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and the Advocates Society.

Early in his career, Bernie spent four years as a federal prosecutor for a large, internationally respected firm. Rather than accept the offer to partner, in 2002 Bernie recruited the best paralegals and law clerks to found Ares Law in Barrie, Ontario.

Bernie’s boutique firm is dedicated to helping the catastrophically injured and to the families who have lost loved ones. The vision for Ares Law is simple: “Enhance your Quality of Life”. Bernie accomplishes this by attaining the maximum possible compensation for his clients.
